War for the '4th screen'

The International Herald Tribune has reported over the weekend that Apple Computer could be releasing what some are calling "the first of the next generation of [mobile] devices..." This leaves me to wonder if this new device will be a phone, an iPod, or a new kind of personal digital assistant (PDA), a term that was coined by former Apple chief, John Scully.

This year the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and MacWorld Expo conferences will be running during the same week. We should be in for a number of surprises and some cool new toys to play with in the very near future.
